RAISER is a four piece Thrash Metal band from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Not an ordinary thrash band, but thrash with an old school attitude. They recreate the sharp old school sound with a sniff of modern day influences. Living for the music, breathing the style, burning passion and ambition; these are the words you are looking for when trying to define the youngsters in Raiser. Living with no remorse and for only one shared dream. Thrash metal 'till the death.

It started with the lack of real old school thrash metal in the area. Raiser tries to capture the elements that make a good thrash song and doesn't settle for anything less than fast, aggressive and tasty thrash metal riffage. Refreshing riffs combined with the famous old sharp style you are familiar and comfortable with. That's what it's all about!

In the beginning, Jordy and Jeffrey met up in a different band. When things didn't work out, they decided to form their own band. The goal was to focus on old school thrash metal to keep the genre alive and famous for what it was. Thrash the stages as a reminder of how it once was. Times change, people change, but thrash metal will live on!

After the departure of Remy, they found Michiel, a versatile lefty, playing all kinds of music on his sharp, single-coiled Strat. His lightning-fast fingers and ear-bleeding thrash sound will blow you away.
